The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced new promises for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections. Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda launched the party’s manifesto on Friday, and it includes several plans to help women and senior citizens in the city.

One of the main promises is to give ₹2,500 every month to women. Pregnant women will receive a one-time payment of ₹21,000. The BJP also plans to provide LPG cylinders for cooking at a reduced price of ₹500 for women from low-income families. Additionally, women will get one free cylinder during the festivals of Holi and Diwali.

The BJP wants to set up Atal Canteens in slum areas, where people can buy healthy meals for just ₹5. This is part of their effort to help those who may struggle to afford food.

For senior citizens, the BJP promises a pension of ₹2,500 for those aged 60 to 70 years, and ₹3,000 for those over 70. This shows the party’s commitment to supporting older people in the community.

During the announcement, Nadda highlighted the BJP’s past achievements, saying that they had kept most of their promises from previous elections. He mentioned that in 2020, they made 500 promises and fulfilled 499 of them. In 2019, they made 235 promises and completed 225.

Nadda said, “Our focus is on welfare, good governance, development, women’s empowerment, and helping farmers.” He assured that all current welfare programs will continue if the BJP is elected again.

With these new promises, the BJP aims to show that they care about the people of Delhi and want to make life better for everyone as the elections approach.
