Doda, 08 March – A serious accident happened when an Eco vehicle with the registration number JK06A-6642 rolled down a deep gorge while traveling from Ghundna to Fafri. The vehicle fell about 200 to 220 feet from the road, injuring seven passengers.
The injured passengers are:
- Irfan Ahmed, 40 years old, son of Gh Rasool Butt
- Mozim Shafi, 18/19 years old, son of Mohd Shafi
- Mubashir Hussain, 18/19 years old, son of Mohd Yousif
- Adil Hussain, 30 years old, son of Mohd Sabir
- Ashiq Ali, 16/17 years old, son of Riyaz Ahmed (all from Dhival Ghundna)
- Yasir Hamid, 18/19 years old, son of Abdul Hamid (from Massri Ghundna)
All the injured passengers were taken to Government Medical College (GMC) Doda for treatment. Sadly, one passenger, Nazim Butt, son of Mohd Yousaf Butt, died from his injuries at GMC Doda.
Local authorities are looking into what caused the accident, and police are talking to witnesses. This tragic event raises concerns about road safety in the area, especially in hilly regions where steep drops can be dangerous.
As the investigation continues, community members are reminded to be careful while traveling on these roads and to report any unsafe conditions to local authorities.
