Baramulla March 05: On Wednesday night, a suspected grenade attack occurred near the Police Post in Old Town, Baramulla, North Kashmir. According to police, around 9:20 PM on March 4-5, a loud blast-like sound was heard from the back of the police station, causing concern among local residents. Thankfully, no one was injured, and there was no damage reported.
In response to the noise, police and security teams quickly cordoned off the area to keep the public safe. During their search, they found a grenade pin outside the boundary wall of the Police Post around 10:40 PM. This discovery led them to believe that someone had tried to launch a grenade attack.
The grenade exploded within the police station’s premises, but it landed in a spot where it did not cause any injuries or damage. The exact location of the explosion is still being investigated.
Authorities have started a thorough inquiry into the incident, and search operations are ongoing in the area. Police are urging residents to stay alert and report any suspicious activities to help keep the community safe.
