Srinagar – The police in Srinagar have quickly solved a theft case within just 24 hours. They arrested a suspect and recovered stolen jewelry.
The incident was reported to Police Station Shaltang by Mst Aimen Akhzar, a resident of Umerabad, who informed authorities that her home was broken into during the night of January 15-16, 2025. At the time of the theft, her parents were out of the country for Umrah, leaving her home empty.
After receiving the report, the police registered a case and started investigating. They called in several people for questioning and found that Janatul Begum, who works as a maid, was involved in the theft.
During questioning, Janatul Begum revealed where the stolen jewelry was hidden, and the police were able to recover it.
