Srinagar Police arrested a well-known drug dealer named Shakeel Ahmad Sheikh, also called Shakeel Kano. He lives in Pamposh Colony, Noorbagh, Srinagar. They charged him under a special law for dealing drugs.
After collecting enough evidence, the police got permission to arrest him. Now, Shakeel is in District Jail Udhampur.
Shakeel has been caught before for selling drugs in 2022. Even after warnings, he kept selling drugs, which is a big problem, especially for young people.
He is known for causing trouble and being involved in the drug trade. Shakeel buys drugs from different places and sells them at higher prices, mainly to young people in Srinagar.
