Rajouri 12 March: An Indian Army soldier was injured on Wednesday in a cross-border firing incident in the Nowshera sector of Rajouri district. The soldier was reportedly hit by a sniper attack from across the border.
Military sources said that the soldier, identified as Man Kumar Bega, was quickly airlifted to a command hospital in Udhampur for advanced treatment. His condition is currently stable, and he is receiving the medical care he needs.
The Indian Army has condemned the attack and is committed to protecting the country’s borders. Local authorities have increased security in the area, and the situation is being closely monitored.
This incident raises concerns about ongoing ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC), which have been a problem in recent months. The Indian Army is keeping a close watch on the border to ensure the safety of its personnel and the local community.
