Kathua, 11 March – The police have set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to find two boys who went missing from Raj Bagh in Kathua district. Senior officials have promised the families that they will do everything possible to locate the boys.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Shiv Kumar Sharma visited the families of the missing boys—Deenu, 15, and Rehmat Ali, 12—at their homes in Raj Bagh and Marheen. He assured them that the police are working hard to find their children. He was joined by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Border Dheeraj Katoch and Station House Officer (SHO) Raj Bagh Ajay Chib.
The boys had gone out to graze cattle near Bhamberwan Goat Farm but did not return home. Their families became worried and reported the situation to the Police Station Raj Bagh. The police then registered a formal case and started an investigation.
DIG Sharma has asked police in Punjab, Jammu, and Udhampur to work together to find any leads. He also ordered the creation of special search teams and the sharing of the boys’ photographs to help in their recovery.
The disappearance of Deenu and Rehmat Ali has raised concerns in the community, especially after three locals were recently found dead in a deep gorge in the Billawar area. Authorities are asking the public to come forward with any information that could help find the missing boys.
As the search continues, the families remain hopeful for the safe return of their children. The police are dedicated to exploring every possible way to locate Deenu and Rehmat Ali.
