Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured during a robbery at his home in Bandra (West) early Thursday morning. The incident happened around 2:30 AM while he was sleeping with his family.
A robber broke into the house, and there was a struggle that left Khan injured. The robber ran away when the family woke up. The police are trying to find the robber and are getting ready to file a report.
A police officer confirmed that Khan was taken to Lilavati Hospital for treatment. “We are still figuring out if he was stabbed or hurt during the fight,” the officer said. The Mumbai crime branch is also looking into what happened.
Khan arrived at the hospital around 3:30 AM. Doctors said he has six injuries, with two being serious and one near his spine. He is currently having surgery with a team of doctors.
Niraj Uttamani, the CEO of Lilavati Hospital, said they will know more about his injuries after the surgery. Fans and the film industry are worried and hoping for a quick recovery for the actor.
