Poonch 3 March: In a strong move to fight terrorism, the Poonch Police have seized four properties covering 14.8 Kanal of land in the villages of Qasba and Kirni. These properties are worth about Rs 28 lakhs and belong to three local terrorists who have fled to Pakistan.
The individuals involved are:
- Najab Din, son of Mohamda, from Village Kirni, Tehsil Haveli, District Poonch.
- Mohd. Latif, son of Mohamda, also from Village Kirni, Tehsil Haveli, District Poonch.
- Mohd. Bashir, known as Tikka Khan, son of Bahadur Ali, from Village Qasba, Tehsil Haveli, District Poonch.
These men are accused of promoting terrorism and causing unrest in Poonch and other parts of Jammu and Kashmir. The police took this action following a court order under Sections 82 and 83 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), which allows them to seize properties linked to criminal activities.
The Poonch Police’s actions show their commitment to stopping terrorism and keeping the community safe. By targeting the assets of those involved in terrorism, they aim to send a clear message that such actions will not be tolerated.
