JAMMU, Dec 7: In a notable effort to improve public services and enhance convenience for citizens, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has established specialized helplines in the Poonch and Doda districts to aid residents with various verification processes. This initiative reflects the police’s dedication to promoting transparency, efficiency, and a citizen-focused approach, as stated by a spokesperson on Saturday.
According to the police, these helplines are intended to streamline the verification procedures for needs such as passports, employment, tenant or domestic help checks, and character certificates, along with any other necessary police verifications.
The helplines will be available from 10 am to 4 pm, providing assistance in navigating verification processes, offering updates on the status of applications, and answering related questions, as per the spokesperson’s remarks. The police encouraged citizens to make use of these helplines to prevent delays or the need to depend on intermediaries, promising prompt and transparent service to all applicants.
