Soldiers on Saturday on patrolling in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir were shot at by suspected militants hiding in a forest across the Line of Control (LoC). Security officials said the incident happened while the troops were doing their regular patrols in the Keri sector.
The soldiers were fired upon with a few rounds from the forest, which is thought to be a hiding place for militants looking to sneak into India. Thankfully, no one was injured during this brief exchange of fire.
In response, the Indian troops fired back, and security measures were quickly increased in the area. The anti-infiltration grid was strengthened to keep a close watch and prevent any attempts to cross the border.
This incident highlights the ongoing tensions along the LoC, where security forces are always alert to stop any infiltration and maintain peace. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of the region.
