His son, Shri Rahul Sahai, who is the Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce Jammu, accepted the award on his father’s behalf.

He served multiple terms as President of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu and founded several important organizations, including the Citizens Cooperative Bank Jammu, the J&K Institute of Public Opinion, and the Tax Payers Association J&K. These institutions show his commitment to serving the public and his desire for a united and progressive society.
One of his major achievements was the creation of the Jammu Chamber of Commerce Bhawan at Bahu Plaza, which provided a dedicated space for business activities. He also played a key role in starting trade between Jammu & Kashmir and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK), helping to build economic ties and promote peace. His efforts earned him the reputation of being the heartbeat of Jammu’s trade and industry, as he not only supported local businesses but also improved the lives of many people in the community.
During the award ceremony, Shri Rahul Sahai Ji expressed his heartfelt thanks for the honor given to his father. He promised to continue his father’s legacy of growth and harmony. “This recognition shows my father’s dedication to making society better. I am honored to accept this award for him and will work hard to uphold his values and legacy,” he said.
