Kulgam police have quickly found a stolen vehicle and arrested a person involved in the crime.
On January 9, 2025, the police at Qazigund received a complaint from Azam Khan, who lives in Ramban but is currently in Nawa. He said that his vehicle, with the registration number JK13A-4716, was stolen while it was parked near Jamia Masjid Nawa. The police registered a case and started investigating right away.
The police team, led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Qazigund, worked hard to find the stolen vehicle. They successfully located it in Wullarhama Pahalgam. During this operation, they arrested a suspect named Shahid Ahmad Bhat, who lives in Wullarhama Pahalgam.
The investigation is still ongoing to see if anyone else was involved in the theft.
Kulgam Police have promised to keep fighting against vehicle theft and to keep the community safe. They are asking people to stay alert and report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or call 112 so that quick action can be taken against criminals.
