Jammu 24 Feb: Jammu Police have arrested two wanted criminals and seized illegal weapons during a surprise checkpoint operation on the Ring Road in the Miran Sahib area.
The operation began after police received information about three men who had fired shots at Swarn Palace during a function. The suspects were identified as Rajat Raina, also known as Rishu, and Raghunandan Kesar, known as Raghu. A third suspect, Goura Jatt, is still being sought by the police.
An FIR (First Information Report) was filed under several sections, including the Arms Act, and an investigation started. Led by Inspector Sh. Jaipaul Sharma, the police team set up a checkpoint on the Ring Road to catch the suspects.
Within hours of the shooting, police arrested Raina and Kesar, who were found in a Thar vehicle with the registration number JK02DA-2525. During the arrest, officers recovered two pistols, three live bullets, and one empty cartridge. The vehicle has also been taken as evidence.

While the police have made progress, they are still searching for Goura Jatt. The quick action by Jammu Police has been praised for helping to reduce crime in the area.
