Srinagar, Mar 09 : India emerged victorious in the 2025 Champions Trophy final, securing a thrilling 4-wicket win against New Zealand at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The match featured an intense chase, with India successfully overcoming a competitive target set by the Black Caps.
Batting first, New Zealand struggled against India’s disciplined bowling attack. Daryl Mitchell played a crucial role, scoring 63 runs to stabilize the innings, while Michael Bracewell’s late onslaught helped set a challenging total. However, Indian bowlers, including Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, and Mohammed Shami, delivered timely breakthroughs to keep New Zealand in check.
India’s chase was led by Rohit Sharma, who played a vital knock of 76 runs. Though the team lost wickets at regular intervals, including Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, and Axar Patel, the middle-order batters ensured stability. KL Rahul, alongside Hardik Pandya, remained composed in the final overs and steered India to victory with calculated batting.
With a strong all-round performance in both batting and bowling, India claimed a well-earned Champions Trophy 2025 title.
