In South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, a mother and her son were found unconscious in their home after inhaling toxic fumes from a charcoal fire used for heating.
The son, Danish Ahmad Khan, sadly died at the hospital on Saturday morning despite receiving quick medical attention. His mother, Fameeda Akhter, is still in critical condition and is being treated intensively.
This incident happened in Gudder village. Authorities confirmed that the suffocation was caused by fumes from the charcoal fire.
The police have registered a case to investigate the matter further.
