Srinagar Feb 24: A fire broke out in the Kursu Rajbagh area of Srinagar on Monday, affecting multiple houses.
An official from the Fire and Emergency department reported that the fire started in one house and quickly spread to others nearby. They received the first call about the fire at around 11:44 AM and sent several fire trucks to the scene to put out the flames.
“The operation to control the fire is still ongoing,” the official said. Initial reports suggest that 3 to 5 houses have been damaged. Firefighters arrived quickly to handle the situation, but one fireman was injured during the operation.
As of now, the firefighting efforts are still underway, and the cause of the fire is being investigated. Authorities are working hard to bring the fire under control and ensure the safety of the residents. More information will be shared as it becomes available.
