The police have warned the public about a fake Facebook account that has been created in the name of Anand Jain, the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for Jammu. Legal action is being taken against those responsible for this fake account.
According to police officials, the fake profile uses a picture of the ADGP and falsely claims to be connected to the “Department Jammu & Kashmir ADGP, Director, Fire & Emergency Services, J&K.” This account is being used to trick people and take advantage of their trust.
The police strongly condemned this dishonest behavior and urged everyone to be careful. They advised people not to respond to messages, friend requests, or any requests from such fake accounts. Similar scams in the past have caused financial losses and emotional distress for many victims.
The ADGP stated that this kind of fraud is a serious offense and an attempt to mislead the public. Authorities are dedicated to tackling this issue and keeping citizens safe from scams.
