Bengaluru weather update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that Bengaluru and various regions in Karnataka will experience moderate to heavy rainfall on Tuesday. A yellow alert has been issued for Bengaluru, according to Hindustan Times.

In light of cyclone Fengal, several districts in Karnataka are expected to face heavy to very heavy downpours on December 3, prompting school closures in many areas. Bengaluru school closures: Will schools in the capital be closed? Despite the IMD’s heavy rainfall warning, no declaration for a school holiday has been made in Bengaluru, and thus, all educational institutions will operate as usual on Tuesday.

School closures today: While schools in Bengaluru will remain open, districts such as Dakshin Kannada and Udupi have decided to close schools due to the anticipated heavy rainfall. Karnataka weather for today: The latest bulletin from the IMD indicates that Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Mysuru, Kodagu, Ramanagara, and Chamarajanagar districts may experience isolated heavy rain on Tuesday.

Moderate rainfall is anticipated in areas such as Tumkur, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Chikkaballapura, and Kolar districts. Other districts in Karnataka, like Uttara Kannada, are expected to have pleasant weather with light to moderate rains, while Raichur may see light rain at isolated spots. Bengaluru weather today: IMD predicts a generally cloudy sky for Bengaluru, with moderate rain and the possibility of heavy rainfall in some areas throughout the day.

The maximum temperature is expected to be around 23 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of approximately 20 degrees Celsius. Update on Cyclone Fengal: Cyclone Fengal has weakened to a low-pressure area over north interior Tamil Nadu, extending into south interior Karnataka. Despite this, heavy rainfall will persist across parts of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and Puducherry until Tuesday. Meteorologists suggest that the system may further develop and potentially move into the southeast and east-central Arabian Sea, nearing the northern coasts of Kerala and Karnataka around December 3.
