Two men were caught near the Line of Control in Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir, for allegedly smuggling drugs. Officials said this on Monday.
The authorities found 5.50 kilograms of heroin with them in the Nowshera area. This large amount of heroin is worth crores of money in the international market. The seizure stopped the drugs from being smuggled across the border.
The two men, Sajan Kumar (25) and Subash Chander (36), were arrested during a joint operation by the Army and police in the villages of Sher and Kaneti late on Sunday.
Earlier, on Saturday, the Border Security Force (BSF) discovered a Pakistani drone and about half a kilogram of high-quality narcotics near the international border in the Arnia sector of Jammu.
