The NYPD said the shooting outside Amazura nightclub in Queens on New Year’s Day was not a terrorist attack. This happened the same day as a terror attack in New Orleans.
At 11:18 p.m., police got calls about people being shot at a private event. About 90 people were inside the club.
Police said three or four men walked up and fired over 30 shots at people waiting outside, hitting some cars. The men ran away and got into a light-colored car with out-of-state plates. Police confirmed it wasn’t a terrorist act.
Ten people were shot—six women and four men. They went to hospitals, but none are badly injured and will be okay. Many police and ambulances came to the scene. Amazura nightclub can hold 4,000 people and often has DJs and shows.

The NYPD told News Agency they are looking for a gray Infiniti car that drove away. This shooting ended a violent New Year’s Day, which also had a terror attack in New Orleans killing 15 people and an explosion outside Trump Hotel in Las Vegas killing one person.
